Art & Craft Booth

Oh my! I am so occupied with everything right now.  But I promised myself I would work on this blog.
The mid-autumn festival was on 7th September 2014. I was one of the vendor in the art & craft section. Nervous and excited but I think I did well that day and I learned a few things.

More customers... Some of them said they never seen this before. Crochet has just made a comeback here in Malaysia. An elder ladies even asked me if I held class on teaching crochet.

Julian had face painting at one of the booth in the art & craft section too.

This is pretty much what I crochet within 1 1/2 months.

My loyal assistant, couldn't do without them since a friend who offered to help back out at the latest minute.

The theme of the festival was retro. And they had mooncake competition - mid-autumn festival is also known as mooncake festival. (Image from the event planner, Creativision)

Art & Craft Booth for Mid-Autumn Festival 2014 in Penang.

I’ve been invited by CreatiVision D.C. Sdn. Bhd. to join them as a vendor for the Mid-Autumn Festival here in Penang. I am so excited and thrilled by the offer cause this is going to be my first time handling an art & craft booth. According to them, they came across my page, ‘Made by Fayl’, and thought I would joined them in the art & craft section for crochet handmade. I never thought to sell my handmade in a craft fair but I am so glad that they offered me this opportunity. I am grateful for the Lord for this exciting opportunity! I can’t wait! Will be posting more soon on this topic. For now, keeping my hand busy creating more handmade!

Pray For MH17

image

My deepest condolences to all family members of passenger and cabin crew of flight Malaysian Airlines MH17. All my thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.  #PrayForMH17
What a heartbreaking tragedy! A very unfortunate event happened to Malaysia Airlines or would I say unbelievable! We lost #MH370 last march and it is still missing and now another one has been shot down. I never had in my lifetime heard of such tragedy. May the Lord bless the souls of all passengers and cabin crew onflight.

The Little Flower as your Color and Flower Therapy

The use of color therapy is a holistic approach. It is the colour energy from light that is used as Colour Therapy. Used in the right way, Colour can have a profound and healing effect on us as humans.
Pure white sunlight contains all the elements necessary to keep every living thing in perfect health. Just as we need a balanced diet if we are to be healthy, so too do we need a balance of all the colour vibrations in sunlight to nourish us energetically.
Colour has a profound affect on our moods and emotions. Certain colours calm our minds, while other stimulate mental activity. This therapy is now use extensively in Asia, Europe and America as a complementary treatment of many physical ailments including: asthma, arthritis, nervous and mental disorders, depression, eating disorders, skin diseases, digestive ailments, blood and circulation problems, fevers, rheumatism, shock, relief of pain as part of the treatment for many serious illnesses such as paralysis, multiple sclerosis, cancer and Aids.
There is also a new type of complementary therapy called Flower Therapy. It is thought that our emotional states can be elevated or turned from negative into positive ones through flower therapy.
The multiple benefits we receive from this therapy are related to the form, color and smell a flower gives off. Flowers provide us with a pleasant view and a beautiful smell, inducing emotional health through synaesthesia.
The impact of flowers present at workplaces was scientifically proved to enhance productivity and the energy level, improving at the same time short and long term memory. They also improve companionship and relationship among colleagues in the workplace.
So why not grab yourself some flower today to cheer up your mood!
Little Flower is a gift for modern people. It is a real flower which has been frozen with a technology from Japan. It needs minimum care as you are only required to sprinkle it with mist of water once a week. It does need sunlight, so it is perfect for indoor decoration at home or at your office. What’s more magical with this flower is when you spray with water the bud will close and blossom when it is dry!
To get yourself a therapy at home, browse Little Flower here. The vase is made of glass and special wording can be carved onto it. Each packaging of Little Flower include a cute box and instruction care.

About Me

Hello and welcome to all!

I am Felicia, hail from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and currently residing in Penang. I am the crafter and crocheter behind this blog. I am able to stay at home with my 6 years old boy because I wanted to be with him and nurture him myself and I don't regret it.

When he turned 4 years old and attended pre-school, I find myself free with the extra hours at home. That's when I turned to crochet. I taught myself how to crochet from Youtube videos and tutorial online. As long as I could remember I have always been crafty. I love any crafts that got to do with yarn, paper and any recycling material.

I graduated from Universiti Utara Malaysia in 2003 with a degree in International Business and was in the job force for 6 years before I finally married the most wonderful man. I quit my job to relocate to Penang with my husband.

Today, I have an online shop selling personalised gifts and my crochet handmade, which most comprised of baby and adult hats. Feel free to browse my shop at Bavakoo Gifts & Crafts. I will soon set up a website for convenience shopping purposes.

Happy crafting and crocheting and Good day!!

P.S.: The above image is a photo puzzle. You can order just like this one by sending me your photo and we do the printing for you.
